Energy Team

The Energy Team kicked things off last term and have been busy trying to make the school a greener, more energy efficient place ever since.

After spying on the Junior School energy behaviour and measuring how much energy we were using in Term 1, we sprang into action after half term.

We put up lots of signs and posters all around the junior building, reminding people to turn electrical equipment off and giving top tips on saving energy.

We spoke to people that could help us - Mr Courtney, Kay the cleaner and Mr Croker. We made a fantastic film and showed it to the whole of KS2 and we explained to them how making electricity actually causes lots of pollution and heats the whole world up.

We've kept measuring how much electricity the junior school's been using. If you're interested in finding out how much, take a look at the OWL monitor in the library. It will also tell you how much greenhouse gas we've produced and how much money we've spent on electricty since we set the monitor up.
